Q 1: Can you view "live" samples of their work?
Answer: Yes. Please see our sheet on Website examples.
Q 2: Can I use a ready-made templates or does the EZwebsitemanager team design from scratch?
Answer: We design from scratch and use custom graphics. Many times clients look at template sites for budget reasons. We like to show them how to get a simple custom website for around the same price.
Most companies we work with are serious about growing their business and understand that a website is an investment and a tool that, if built and designed properly, can generate a significant amount of return.
Q 3: Do they ask about your target audience and competition and do they research for similar and complementary sites?
Answer: Yes. We spend 2 hours just understanding your business model and target audience as well as many other key factors.
In addition, we spend another 4-6 hours researching information on the website about your industry, your competitors and other sites your target audience is visiting.
Q 4: Do they price by the hour or by the job and exactly what is included in the base price and what is considered "extra"?
Answer: We price by the job. Our quotes are very detailed in what they include. We do not charge you anything after you approve the quote unless it is something extra you have requested and approved.
We include design, content development, hosting, SSL Certificates, Shopping Carts, etc. as individual line items so you can choose how much of the project we handle. Many clients like to write their own content so we quote that as an add-on. The price you get is the price you get.
Q 5: How long a review period is allowed to correct typos and other minor problems?
Answer: We give a period of 6 months to work out anything we might have missed in our extensive testing and review process. Our goal is to keep our clients for life so we want to be as fair as possible. We have found that 6 months is ample time to find anything previously overlooked.
Q 6: How much is charged after the review period?
Answer: Most minor problems take less than 10 minutes to fix…..many times we just do it for the client at no charge. If it takes more than 10 minutes we will discuss a fair price for the client.
Q 7: Do they give you a way and other tools to keep you in control of your project?
Answer: Yes. We provide you with an estimated timeline that outlines every step, who is responsible and when the item is due. This way you can be specific when you ask us how the project is going.
Instead of asking, “how is the project going?” and us responding “great”, you can ask, “where are we with the mockups? I see we have a deadline of this Friday”, we can then say, “Yes….we will be done by Thursday and will email you that then.”
Q 8: Do they ask what YOU want in your site and do they encourage your participation and input?
Answer: YES. We have created our entire business model around the idea that the client really understands their business the best. We just need to ask the right questions so that we can make value added recommendations.
We spend over 4 hours with you to understand what you want and to ensure that what we heard is accurate. We listen first, then research, then do and then ask again to make sure we are right on target with your vision and goals.
Q 9: Do they educate you on what they are doing or simply say "leave it all to me"?
Answer: We spend an enormous amount of time educating our clients. We understand that we are the specialists in this area and want you to feel comfortable understanding what to expect next. We want to keep you in control of the project without having to become a web developer yourself.
Q 10: Do they test the site on multiple browsers and/or platforms?
Answer: Yes. We have an intensive testing process we take each site through before we launch it. Each site is put through about 6 hours of testing by computer “geeks” and their sole job is to find the holes in our websites.
Q 11: Do they give you a copy of your website on disk? Who owns the site? What happens if you work with another developer later?
Answer: We put each website onto a CD-ROM for the client to keep. Once the site is paid in full the site is owned by the client.
We never like to see a client leave, should you choose to work with someone else, we assist you in the transition. Of course we will try and keep you as a client but understand that sometimes friends or relatives are developers so change happens.
Our goal is to leave you with a good feeling. We want you to feel good about your relationship with our company. Even if you leave, you never know when you might want to come back to us.
