Website Tips

Top 10 Things Every Website Should Have

1.   Branded Image - reflects the same look and feel as your business card, stationary, and current marketing designs, especially logo colors and style.

2.   Free Information - some type of free information that gives visitors an incentive for visiting such as a free report, free newsletter, free online special, free gift, etc.

3.   Online Database - ability to easily capture visitor information (at minimum first and last name, and email address).

4.   Automated Email System - what we call our "Email Scheduler" that allows you to automatically send electronic information to your database, such as free information, newsletter, updates, products and service reminders, etc.

5.   Automated Opt-in or Opt-out System - also known as an "unsubscribe system", one that actually works, so that people can be taken off of emails if desired.

6.   Ability to Easily Change Information on Website Instantaneous - you should be able to change content, pictures, and any other information you require instantaneously without having to hire a web developer or use any type of software.

7.   Tells a Good Story - your website should not only tell a clear story about what your company does, but it should also spark their interest and differentiates you from your competitors as well.

8.   Easy Navigation - if someone has to click more than 2 times to get to where they are going, you have lost them.

9.   Minimal Content - in this case "Less is More". The average visitors spends 10 seconds or less per page, so you need to be short, sweet and to the point.

10.   Quality Pictures - pictures are stronger than words on websites, so your pictures shouldn't just be there for filler, but they should accentuate, assisting in telling a story, or demonstrate something about what your business does.

If your website doesn't have ALL of these items, you are most likely losing valuable customers, and wasting time and money. If you don't have a website currently, you have an enormous opportunity in front of you to make your business easier and more profitable.
